Carole Olson was an Artistic child who was eager to follow her interests.

“I had a special awareness early in my life for the many places, cultures and surroundings that inspired me. This is reflected in my work.

“After high school graduation I began my formal art education.”

I enrolled as a Fine Arts major at the University of New Mexico. There I nurtured my passion for painting.”

“After leaving Albuquerque, I moved to California where I kept my artistic ambitions close to my heart pursuing art studies at UCLA, followed by the LA Academy of Art. I studied figure and gesture drawing in California. I drew motivation from masters I studied with likes of G. Vilppu in Venice, Italy.”

Ms. Olson then moved to New Mexico and opened her studio in Santa Fe. Inspired by everything around her, Carole started painting.

“I tend to create paintings in series because one idea leads to the next. This process has always intrigued me. I have worked hard toward developing into a true American artist.”

“The Native American Dancers, Wildlife, Cattle and the Western Landscape, rich in colors create a kaleidoscope of vibrant imagery. ”

Carole Olson’s original oil paintings have been exhibited and sold at the Historical La Fonda Hotel on the plaza and at La Posada de Santa Fe, the best known Art Hotel in New Mexico.

The Artist is currently creating a new body of work slated for an exhibition in 2021. These paintings with others she created in the past are slated for signature lines of note cards and art posters available through museum shops throughout the country.
